Police charge man after 2020 Carrum fatal collision

A man has been charged in relation to a fatal collision in Carrum in 2020.

It is alleged a Toyota Hilux ute collided with a Mazda sedan at the intersection of Station Street and McLeod Road just before 7pm on Tuesday, 10 November.

The driver and sole occupant of the Mazda, a 75-year-old Chelsea woman, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries but died on 12 November.

A 21-year-old Berwick man has tonight been charged with dangerous driving causing death, careless driving and fail to give way at intersection.

He has been bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 5 May.
