Police charge man after cars damaged

Excellent work by detectives from Moonee Valley Crime Investigation Unit has led to a man being charged after at least 39 vehicles were damaged in Brunswick West and Moonee Ponds last week.

Investigators have been told windows, mirrors and tyres of cars were damaged in the early hours of Tuesday 9 January.

Detectives went to work and executed a search warrant at an address in Brunswick on 12 January.

On 15 January detectives returned to the address and arrested a 33-year-old man who was charged with 39 offences including criminal damage and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.

He appeared before Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 15 January and has been remanded to reappear at court today, 16 January.
