Police charge man after Clayton carjacking

Monash Crime Investigation Unit detectives from the proactive crew have charged a man following an alleged carjacking in Clayton on Tuesday (11 June).

A 26-year-old woman had been getting into her Lexus sedan on Marshall Avenue about 10.15am when an unknown man allegedly pulled her out of the car and took off in the vehicle.

Investigators arrested a man yesterday morning in Dandenong.

The 20-year-old Langwarrin man has been charged with carjacking and theft from motor vehicle.

He has been remanded to appear at Moorabbin Magistrates' Court on 27 June.
