Police charge man after Cranbourne death

Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man today following the death of Michael Mammone in Cranbourne last month.

A 42-year-old Carrum Downs man was arrested this morning and subsequently interviewed by police.

He has been charged with murder and armed robbery.

The man will face Melbourne Magistrates' Court shortly.

The charges follow the discovery of Mammone's body in a car park at Donnelly Reserve, Cranbourne on 26 June.
