Police charge man after drugs seized -in Sydney CBD

A man will appear in court today after police seized a commercial quantity of cocaine and methylamphetamine at a home in Sydney's CBD yesterday.

About 2.30pm (Wednesday 18 December 2019), officers executed a search warrant at a unit on College Street.

The operation was part of Strike Force Fauld, which was established in August 2019 to investigate drug supply activities in Sydney's CBD.

Officers seized methylamphetamine, cocaine and alprazolam tablets, as well as fraudulent identification and cash.

A crime scene was established, and a 49-year-old was arrested and taken to Day Street Police Station.

He was charged with supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity), two counts of supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity), deal with property proceeds of crime, supply prohibited drug and two outstanding warrants.

The man was refused bail and is due to appear in Central Local Court today (Thursday 19 December 2019).
