Police charge man after Forest Hill car crash

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a crash in Forest Hill on Saturday 10 February.

It is alleged a Kia Rio sedan was travelling along Barter Crescent when the driver lost control and crashed into two parked cars about 11.40pm

One passenger, a 26-year-old Fitzroy North man, was taken to hospital, with life-threatening injuries.

Two other passengers, a 27-year-old Pascoe Vale man and a 30-year-old Cranbourne East man, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver, a 30-year-old Forest Hill man, has been charged with negligent driving causing serious injury, dangerous driving causing serious injury and driving a vehicle not fitted with an alcohol interlock device.

He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court later this evening.
