Police charge man after Forrestfield serious crash

Major Crash officers have charged a 31-year-old man as a result of their investigation into a serious crash that occurred around 4.45am on Monday 28 September 2020 in Forrestfield.

It is alleged the man was driving a taxi that collided with a gold coloured Holden Commodore sedan on Tonkin Highway near Hale Road. The man left the scene of foot.

The driver of the Commodore, a 60-year-old woman was trapped in the vehicle. Once extracted she was conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries.

The 31-year-old man from High Wycombe has been charged with:-

• Dangerous Driving Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm;

• Driver Fail to Report an Incident Occasioning Death or Grievous Bodily Harm; and

• Driver Failed to Stop and Ensure Assistance Received after an Incident Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm.

He is due to appear before the Midland Magistrates Court on 6 October 2020.
