Police Charge Man After Hit-run In Long Gully

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following an alleged hit-run in Long Gully on Monday, 6 May.

It's alleged a dispute between two men occurred on Derwent Drive, when a 51-year-old man was hit by a car about 9.45pm.

He was flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries where he remains in a critical condition.

It is alleged a second man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after allegedly being assaulted when he came to assist.

A 30-year-old Long Gully man has been charged with dangerous driving causing injury and negligently cause serious injury.

He has been remanded to appear at Bendigo Magistrates' Court today.
