Police charge man after hydro house raided, firearm seized at Wagga Wagga

A man has been charged after police executed a search warrant and located hydroponic cannabis set-ups at Wagga Wagga.

Just after 2.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 23 July 2019) officers from Murray River Police District executed a search warrant at a property on Alexander Street, Ashmont.

Police will allege they located hydroponic set-ups and seized cannabis plants from a bedroom inside the house.

Officers also seized a number of bags of cannabis, a bag containing MDMA tablets and an unregistered air rifle.

A 22-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station.

He has been charged with possess unregistered firearm, cultivate prohibited plant, possess prohibited drug (x4).

The man was granted conditional bail and is due to appear before Wagga Wagga Local Court on 4 September 2019.
