Police charge man after Kings Park crash

Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section have charged the driver of a car that crash in Kings Park on Sunday, 4 October 2020.

It will be alleged around 6.15am a black 2009 Toyota Corolla travelling on Lovekin Drive, has struck a tree, near the intersection of May Drive.

One of the passengers of the vehicle was trapped in the vehicle and required the assistance of Department of Fire and Emergency Services to be removed.

The two teenagers, a girl and boy, who were passengers received life-threatening injuries.

An 18-year-old Rivervale man has been charged with:

• Two counts of Dangerous Driving Causing Grievous Bodily Harm - in circumstances of aggravation

• No authority to drive (never held)

• Driving with prescribed illicit drug in oral fluid or blood

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on 30 April 2021.
