Mornington Peninsula Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following an alleged assault in Mornington yesterday afternoon.
A man was found with critical injuries outside a property in Cooba Court about 3.40pm.
The 41-year-old man was treated by ambulance paramedics and taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Police responded and arrested a 35-year-old man a short time later.
He was interviewed by detectives and charged with intentionally cause serious injury.
The Mornington man was remanded to face Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.
