Police Charge Man After Pursuit - Cabramatta 25 October

A man will face court charged following an alleged pursuit in Sydney's west last night.

About 10.40pm yesterday (Friday 24 October 2025), officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command were patrolling the Cabramatta area, when they attempted to stop a BMW sedan on Cabramatta Road West.

When the driver allegedly failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated.

The vehicle continued on Humphries Road before coming to a stop on Bishop Crescent, Bonnyrigg.

The driver – a 41-year-old man – allegedly attempted to leave the area on foot; however, was arrested a short time later.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers allegedly located two replica Glock-style firearms, two knives, and a small amount of cannabis.

The man was taken Fairfield Police Station where he was charged with:

- Police pursuit - not stop - drive dangerously

- Drive motor vehicle during disqualification period

- Hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty

- Possess prohibited drug

- Custody of knife in public place

- Recklessly deal with proceeds of crime less than or equal to $5000

- Acquire etc firearm - subject to prohibition order x2 and,

- Possess unregistered firearm-pistol x2.

The man was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Saturday 25 October 2025).
