A man will face court after being charged in relation to an alleged sexual assault in Sydney's east.
In August 2020, officers attached to Leichhardt Police Area Command commenced an investigation after a 25-year-old woman reported she had been sexually assaulted at a home in Woollahra in November 2017.
It's alleged the woman was assaulted by a man she had met through a dating application.
Just before 6pm yesterday (Wednesday 21 October 2020), Leichhardt detectives arrested a 29-year-old man at Waverley Police Station.
He was charged with aggravated sexual assault – deprive liberty, and breach of bail.
The was refused bail and is due to appear in Waverley Local Court today (Thursday 22 October 2020).
