Police charge man after SF Wokari investigation

A man will appear in court today charged with multiple offences including large commercial drug supply, as part of an ongoing investigation on the state's Mid North Coast.

Strike Force Wokari is an ongoing investigation by Mid North Coast Police District, into the supply of prohibited drugs throughout the local area.

Following extensive inquiries, strike force investigators, with assistance from Tuggerah Lakes Police District, executed a search warrant at a home on Brothers Road, Jilliby, about 9.30am on Tuesday 20 December 2022.

A 42-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

During the search, police seized 17.5kg of cannabis, 340g of cocaine, 150 vials of steroids, ammunition, a prohibited weapon, $9700 cash, electronic devices and other items relevant to the investigation.

The items will undergo further examination.

The man was taken to Wyong Police Station where he was charged with 12 offences including three counts of supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity), two counts of knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, and knowingly direct activities of criminal group.

He was refused bail to appear at Wyong Local Court today (Thursday 22 December 2022).
