Police charge man after stabbing at Campbelltown

A man has been arrested and charged following an alleged stabbing in Campbelltown overnight.

Around 8pm (Thursday 6 July 2023), emergency services were called to Menangle Road, Campbelltown, following reports of an assault.

Upon arrival, police were told two men – who are known to each other – were involved in an argument before one of the men sustained a stab wound to the chest.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 28-year-old before taking him to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command arrested a 21-year-old man at the scene before he was taken to Campbelltown Police Station.

He was charged with wounding with intent.

He was bail refused to appear at Campbelltown Local Court later today.
