Police charge man after stabbing - CanleyHeights

A man has been charged with stabbing another man in South West Sydney.

About 9:30pm yesterday (Saturday 26 December 2020), emergency services were called to a home in Torrens Street, Canley Heights, following reports a man had been stabbed by a man known to him.

Officers from Fairfield Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation. A crime scene was also established.

A 37-year-old man was located with lacerations to his arms and chest. He was taken by paramedics to Liverpool Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A short time later a 41-year-old man was arrested by police at a home in Hinchinbrook.

He was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The man was bail refused to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Sunday 27 December 2020).
