Police charge man after Taylors Hill fatal shooting

Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following the death of a 31-year-old Craigieburn man in Taylors Hill on Sunday, 7 May.

A 21-year-old Roxburgh Park man was arrested by police in Mulgrave shortly after 1.35am on Thursday, 11 May as part of a planned operation.

It is believed the man was the driver of the black BMW involved in the fatal shooting in Taylors Hill on Sunday night.

He was interviewed by Homicide Squad detectives and has subsequently been charged with conduct endangering life, conduct endangering serious injury, drive manner dangerous and other related offences.

He will appear before Dandenong Magistrates' Court today.

Detectives also yesterday located and spoke with the fourth man they believe to have been involved in this incident.

A 42-year-old Caroline Springs man, believed to be the person who shot the victim, handed himself into police on Tuesday morning (9 May).

He was interviewed by police and released pending further enquiries.

The charges following an incident where emergency services were called to Vaucluse Boulevard about 11.30pm on 7 May and located a man in a black BMW sedan with critical injuries.

Ambulance crews treated the 31-year-old Craigieburn man at the scene but were unable to save him.

The investigation remains ongoing.
