Police Charge Man After Theft Of Reptiles

Bendigo Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following the theft of reptiles from Kangaroo Flat in late March.

It is alleged the man forced entry to a business on Lockwood Road in the early hours of 30 March.

An estimated 50 reptiles, including snakes, bearded dragons, monitors and lizards were allegedly stolen from the premises.

Detectives charged a 24-year-old California Gully man this morning with burglary and theft.

He has been bailed to appear before the Bendigo Magistrates' Court on 14 June.
