Police charge man after threatening witness, South Australia

A man has been arrested after attempting to intimidate a witness.

Police will allege that on 15 July 2021 at Seaford, three men assaulted a witness in a major indictable matter.

The trio were later arrested and charged with assault and unlawful detention offences and remanded in custody.

One of the three men arrested at the time, a 31-year-old Northfield man was arrested today (Thursday 18 November) and charged with threatening a person in judicial proceedings to influence an outcome.

Police will allege the offending occurred between 6 September and 4 November 2021.

The man was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.

The co-accused, a 34-year-old Seaford woman was charged with the same offence on Friday 5 November. She was remanded in custody until 15 February 2022.
