Police charge man after toddler suffers suspected life-altering injuries in Traralgon

Central Gippsland Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Unit detectives have arrested and charged a man after a toddler was left with suspected life-altering injuries in Traralgon in November.

The 37-year-old man was arrested at a Traralgon property this morning and has been charged with intentionally cause serious injury and breaching a court order.

The charges follow an investigation into an alleged serious assault, after an injured 22-month old girl was taken to a local hospital in Traralgon on Friday 12 November about 10.45pm.

The Traralgon man is expected to appear before Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court this afternoon.
