Police charge man after urinating on Anzac Memorial

A man has been charged after allegedly urinating on the Anzac Memorial building in Sydney's CBD overnight.

Just before 10pm (Tuesday 10 December 2019), police will allege a man was walking though Hyde Park when he approached the eastern side of the Anzac Memorial and began to urinate on the building.

Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command attended and arrested a 22-year-old man.

He was taken to Day Street Police Station, where he was charged with commit offensive act in, on war memorial/interment site.

The French National was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 15 January 2020.
