Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following a fatal collision in Yannathan, near Lang Lang this morning.
The 33-year-old Drouin man was driving a vehicle on Heads Road when he allegedly struck the man just after midnight.
The 34-year-old Officer man died at the scene.
The Drouin man has been charged with one count of murder and will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
