Police charge man over Bridgewater wounding incident

Police have charged a 46-year-old man in relation to a wounding incident at Bridgewater yesterday.

The man has been charged with:

  • 2 x wounding
  • 1 x common assault
  • 18 x breach of interim family violence order.

He has been remanded in custody to appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court later today.

Police will alleged that around 8.50am yesterday, the man gained entry to a residence on Maxwell Drive and injured two people with a knife.

An 18-year-old man sustained a significant laceration to his torso.

A 42-year-old woman sustained significant lacerations to her hand and arm.

The victims and offender were all known to each-other.
