Police charge man over Devonport incident

A 30-year-old Devonport man has been charged with several offences in relation to a disturbance in Nicholls Street, Devonport on Friday.

Detective Constable Justin Harvey said the man was arrested today, and charged with aggravated armed robbery, aggravated burglary, wounding, stealing and breach of bail.

"Police would like to thank members of the public for providing information which assisted our investigation", he said.

"The parties involved were known to each other, and there was no risk to the wider community."

The man is expected to appear in the Devonport Magistrates Court later today.
