A man will face court, charged with drug offences following the search of a vehicle in Sydney's inner south.
About 2am yesterday (Wednesday 11 March 2026), officers from South Sydney Police Area Command stopped a vehicle on Broadway, Chippendale.
After making inquiries, the driver of the vehicle – 29-year-old man – was searched before officers allegedly located an amount of methamphetamine.
Following a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers allegedly located:
- 621g of cookies believed to contain Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)
- 491g of cannabis leaf
- 1.58kg of gummies believed to contain Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)
- 512g of psilocybin mushrooms
- 1.82g of MDMA
- 2.34g of methamphetamine
The man was arrested and taken to Mascot Police Station where he was charged with:
- two counts of possess prohibited drug
- supply prohibited drug greater than small and less than or equal to indictable quantity
- supply prohibited drug greater than or equal to commercial quantity
- supply prohibited drug greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity
- supply prohibited drug greater than or equal to large commercial quantity
- supply prohibited drug greater than or equal to commercial quantity
The man was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court yesterday (Wednesday 11 March 2026) where he was again refused bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 7 May 2026.
