Police Charge Man With High Range PCA Near Wagga Wagga

A man has been charged with high range PCA near Wagga Wagga yesterday.

About 1.50pm (Wednesday 29 July 2026), officers attached to Riverina Traffic and Highway Patrol stopped a vehicle on Leavenworth Drive, Mount Austin.

The driver, a 29-year-old man, was subjected to roadside testing, which allegedly returned a positive result.

Further inquiries revealed that the man's license was disqualified.

He was arrested and taken back to Wagga Wagga Police Station, where he was subjected to roadside testing which allegedly returned a reading of 0.375.

The man was issued a Court Attendance Notice charged with drive with high range PCA – second offence, and drive whilst disqualified – second offence.

He is due to appear before Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 23 September 2026.
