Police charge man with multiple drug-supply offences at Brewarrina

A man has been charged with multiple drug-related offences in the state's North West.

About 12pm yesterday (20 August 2019), officers attached to Central North Police District executed a search warrant at a home on Byron Street at Brewarrina following investigations into the supply of prohibited drugs in the township.

On arrival, police stopped a vehicle seen leaving the driveway to speak with the male occupant. A search of the vehicle located five small bags of cannabis allegedly purchased from the location.

Police searched the home and located 15 bags of cannabis and cash.

The 57-year-old male resident was arrested and taken to Brewarrina Police Station.

He has been charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug, deemed supply prohibited drug, and deal with property proceeds of crime greater than $100,000.

He was granted conditional bail to appear before Brewarrina Local Court on Tuesday 17 September 2019.
