A man and a teenage boy have been charged following an alleged robbery in the state's central west this week.
Officers attached to Central West Police District were called to Farnell Street, Forbes, about 4.10pm yesterday (Thursday 7 May 2026), with reports of an assault.
Police arrived and were told an 18-year-old man had been riding a bicycle when a man aged 20, and a 14-year-old boy got out of a vehicle nearby. The older man allegedly punched the 18-year-old in the head, before the younger man fled.
The older man then reportedly stole the bicycle.
Following extensive inquiries, about 6.45pm the same day, police arrested a 20-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy at an address on Farnell Street, Forbes. The allegedly stolen bicycle was located nearby.
