Police charge six after series of robberies

Police have charged six teens following an alleged crime spree in the western suburbs on Friday evening.

The alleged incidents occurred in Maribyrnong, Footscray and West Footscray between 5.15pm and 8.20pm before six teens were arrested after dumping a stolen car in Sunshine.

Two teenage boys, a 15-year-old from Derrimut, and 17-year-old from St Albans, were charged with robbery, theft, handle stolen goods, theft of motor vehicle and remanded to appear at a children's court.

A 16-year-old Sunbury boy was charged with robbery, unlawful assault and theft of motor vehicle and remanded to appear at a children's court.

Three teenage boys, a 14-year-old from Albion, a 15-year-old from St Albans and a 16-year-old from Cobblebank, were charged with theft of motor vehicle and bailed to appear at a children's court.
