Police Charge Teen After Building Graffitied - Kogarah

A teenager has been charged after a building was allegedly graffitied in Sydney's south earlier this week.

About 3.20pm on Tuesday (19 May 2026), police were called to Regent Street, Kogarah, following reports of an alleged malicious damage.

On arrival, officers attached to St George Police Area Command located windows of the building were allegedly graffitied.

A crime scene has been established, and police commenced an investigation into the incident.

Following inquiries, a 17-year-old boy was arrested at Belmont Police Station.

He was charged with possess graffiti implement with intent to contravene section 4(2) and intentionally mark premises etc without prescribed consent.

The teen was granted conditional bail to appear before a childrens court on Wednesday 3 June 2026.
