Police charge teen over spate of business break-ins at Narromine

A teen will appear in court today charged over a spate of break-ins at businesses in the state's central west.

Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District commenced an investigation after a number of businesses in Narromine were broken into between Sunday (2 January 2022) and yesterday (Wednesday 5 January 2022), with food and drink products reportedly stolen.

Following extensive inquiries, officers attended a home in Narromine just after 6pm yesterday (Wednesday 5 January 2022) and arrested a 16-year-old boy.

He was taken to Narromine Police Station and charged with two counts of break and enter house steal value and four counts of break and enter dwelling-house with intent.

The boy was refused bail to appear via video link at a children's court today (Thursday 6 January 2022).
