Police Charge Teen With Property And Firearm Offences

A teen will face court following an investigation into property-related offences in the State's north.

As part of an ongoing investigation, detectives attached to Oxley Police District spoke to a teenaged boy on Wednesday (27 March 2024), in relation to an allegedly stolen 4WD and a firearm.

Following further inquiries, police arrested a 14-year-old boy and took him to Tamworth Police Station.

He has now been charged with possess firearm, goods in custody (motor vehicle), and breach of bail.

The teen was refused bail and appeared at in Tamworth Children's Court today (Thursday 4 April 2024).

He's been granted conditional bail to appear in a children's court on 17 April 2024.
