Police charge teens over robbery in Auburn

Two teenaged boys are due to face court following an alleged assault and robbery in Sydney's west.

Emergency services were called to Auburn Railway Station, just after 12.15 am on Thursday 14 December 2023, following reports of a robbery.

On arrival, officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command found a 22-year-old man with injuries in his head and body.

Police were told that he had an argument with two people on a train and was allegedly assaulted when he got off at Auburn Railway Station. It 's alleged the teen's phone was also taken.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

Detectives established a crime scene and an investigation commenced.

Following extensive inquiries, officers attached to Police Transport Command arrested a 14-year-old boy about 10.50am on Wednesday (20 December 2023), at Liverpool, and a 17-year-old boy arrested at Warwick Farm about 11.15am Wednesday (20 December 2023).

Both were taken to Liverpool Police Station where they were charged with aggravated robbery with wounding/grievously bodily harm.

They've been refused bail to appear at children's court today (Thursday 21 December 2023).
