Police charge three after shooting in Sunbury

Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged three Sunbury men after shots were allegedly fired at police and a police car rammed in Sunbury this morning.

It is alleged officers were patrolling in the vicinity of Horne Street when shots were fired at their vehicle.

They sought cover at a nearby fast food restaurant when the police car was also rammed.

A 26-year-old man has been charged with discharge a firearm at vehicle, reckless conduct endangering serious injury and prohibited person possess a firearm.

An 18-year-old man has been charged with discharge a firearm at vehicle, reckless conduct endangering serious injury and prohibited person possess a firearm and armed robbery.

A 33-year-old man has been charged with discharge a firearm at vehicle, reckless conduct endangering serious injury.

They have all been remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
