Police charge three people after Bowen Bridge incident

Three people have been charged following yesterday's arrests on the Bowen Bridge.

Detectives have this morning charged a 20 year old Elderslie man with:

  • Evade Police (Aggravated Circumstances)
  • Dangerous driving
  • Motor Vehicle Stealing (4 x counts)
  • Aggravated Burglary
  • Burglary (2 x counts)
  • Stealing (2 x counts)
  • Computer related fraud (3 x counts)

The 19 year old Chigwell man was charged with:

  • Aggravated Burglary (2 x counts)
  • Stealing (2 x counts)
  • Motor Vehicle Stealing
  • Evade Police (Aggravated Circumstances)
  • Breach of Bail (4 x counts)

A 17 year old youth from Bridgewater was charged with:

  • Aggravated Burglary (2 x counts)
  • Burglary (2 x counts)
  • Stealing (6 x counts)
  • Motor Vehicle Stealing

The charges relate to crimes allegedly committed in Huonville, Kingston, Glenorchy, Sandy Bay, Bridgewater, Cremorne and Lauderdale over the past three days.

The youth was conditionally bailed to appear in court at a later date. The two men have been detained in custody and will appear in court this morning.
