Police charge two men after assault during neighbour dispute - Blackett

Two men will appear in court tomorrow charged over an alleged assault following a neighbour dispute in Sydney's west overnight.

About 12.20am (Saturday 30 July 2022), officers from Mt Druitt Police Area Command responded to reports of a neighbour dispute in Lang Crescent, Blackett.

Police have been told, following an argument over noise, a number of projectiles were thrown between two homes before escalating to a physical altercation.

A 35-year-old man was found suffering a serious head injury. He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Two men – aged 19 and 33 – were arrested at a nearby home on Popondetta Road and taken to Mount Druitt Police Station where they were charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and affray.

Both men were refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow (Sunday 31 July 2022).
