Police charge two men over wounding, Miami

Police have charged two men in relation to the wounding of a man at Miami on Sunday March 5.

It will be alleged that 5.30am, a 30-year-old Palm Beach man was assaulted by two men who were known to him, one armed with a knife and the other armed with a steel bar, outside an address on Mountain View Avenue.

The 30-year-old allegedly sustained a stab wound to his buttock and was struck on the head and torso with the bar, before he managed to escape inside the residence.

It will be alleged that the pair attempted to force entry to the residence by smashing the glass door, before fleeing.

The 30-year-old was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested a 22-year-old Upper Coomera man later that day and he was charged with one count each of wounding, assault occasioning bodily harm and enter dwelling. He was remanded in custody and is scheduled to reappear at the Southport Magistrates Court on April 27.

Following investigations, police arrested a 20-year-old Burleigh Waters man overnight. He has been charged with count each of wounding, assault occasioning bodily harm and enter dwelling. He is scheduled to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court today, Tuesday March 21.
