Police Charge Two Over Multiple Break And Enters - Kensington

Police have charged two men over multiple break and enters in Sydney's east earlier this month.

In November 2025, officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command commenced an investigation following reports of multiple items including two mountain bikes and power tools were stolen in Kensington area.

  • About 8am on Saturday 1 November 2025, a unit complex carpark on Anzac Parade, Kensington, was broken into before unknown people stole power tools from a Ute.
  • About 2am on Sunday 2 November 2025, the same carpark was broken into and a bicycle was stolen from a bicycle rack.
  • About 2am on Monday 3 November 2025, two mountain bikes were stolen from the same unit complex carpark.

While initial inquiries allege the incidents are linked, the total estimated value of stolen items is at more than $15,000.

A crime scene was established, and police commenced an investigation into the incident.

Following inquiries, about 4pm on Wednesday 12 November 2025, police arrested a 44-year-old man on Driver Avenue, Moore Park.

Police searched his vehicle and located one of the stolen mountain bikes – approximately $7000 worth – along with tools and an e-scooter.

On Thursday 13 November 2025, police executed a search warrant at a home on Alison Road Randwick, where they seized electronic devices, a bicycle, and clothes.

All items were seized to be forensically examined.

He was taken to Maroubra Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal less than or equal to $60000, attempt dispose property-theft equal to serious indictable less than or equal to $5000, goods in personal custody suspected being stolen and break and enter house etc steal value less than or equal to $60,000.

He was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 6 on Thursday 13 November 2025, where he was refused bail to appear at Waverley Local Court on Thursday 27 November 2025.

Following further inquiries, about 3.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 18 November 2025), police arrested a 28-year-old man at a unit complex on Anderson Street, Kingsford.

He was taken to the same police station where he was charged with aggravated break and enter in dwelling in company steal less than or equal to $60000 and break out, aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal less than or equal to $60000, break and enter house etc steal value less than or equal to $60,000 and possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 6 today (Wednesday 19 November 2025).
