Police charge two people after Devonport evade

Two people have been charged following an evade incident in Devonport at 3pm on Tuesday when the driver of a Silver Nissan Qashqai failed to stop when instructed by police.

The vehicle (registration I33MG) was found abandoned in Forth a short time later where the two were arrested.

Police are continuing to search for the third person in the vehicle, Barry Raymond Allen, who fled the scene on foot.

The two arrested at Forth are a 21-year-old woman who has been charged with possessing stolen property and stealing and a 40-year-old man who has been charged with possessing stolen property.

Anyone who saw the car, or who has dash cam footage of it travelling between Devonport and Forth on Tuesday afternoon is asked to contact Devonport CIB on 131 444.
