Two teenage boys will face court charged after an alleged stabbing in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs overnight.
About 9.15pm (Friday 27 February 2026), emergency services were called to the intersection of Gould Street and Glasgow Avenue, Bondi Beach, following reports of a stabbing.
Officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command attended and found a 54-year-old man with stab wounds to his upper body.
Police were told the man became involved in an argument with a boy on an e-bike, which then escalated into a physical confrontation.
The boy allegedly fled the scene and later returned with another boy who was allegedly armed with a knife, before the pair assaulted the man a second time and leaving.
He was treated by police until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived, and was then taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A crime scene was established and investigations into the incident commenced.
Following inquiries, about 9.40pm, two boys - aged 15 and 17 - were arrested on Glenayr Avenue, Bondi Beach and taken to Surry Hills Police Station.
The 15-year-old boy was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of others, possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, common assault, stalk / intimidate intend fear physical harm, two counts supply prohibited drug, deal with property proceeds of crime, goods suspected stolen in / on premises and breach of bail.
The 17-year-old boy was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of others, possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit and breach of bail.
They were refused bail to appear before Parramatta Bail Division Court today (Saturday 28 February 2026).
