Two men have been charged with firearm and drug offences in the state's Orana region.
Following an investigation, officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District, executed a search warrant at a property on Cypress Drive, Yarrawonga just after 1pm on Friday (14 February 2020).
During the search, police allegedly located and seized an air rifle, a replica firearm, ammunition, 31 cannabis plants, cannabis leaf and cannabis seeds.
Two men, aged 60 and 28, were arrested at the home and taken to Mudgee Police Station.
The older man was charged with not keep firearm safely, unauthorised person fail to surrender firearm, possess ammunition without holding licence, possess unregistered firearm, cultivate prohibited plant and two counts of possess prohibited drug.
He was granted given conditional bail to appear at Mudgee Local Court on Wednesday 18 March 2020.
The younger man was charged with possess prohibited drug, and possession of equipment for administering prohibited drugs. He was also charged with stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm for an unrelated matter.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Mudgee Local Court on Wednesday 19 February 2020.
