Police charge woman after Cobram hit-run

Wangaratta Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a woman following an alleged hit-run in the early hours of this morning.

A car allegedly struck a pedestrian following an altercation on Acacia Street about 12.40am on Sunday, 1 January.

The female pedestrian was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car allegedly fled the scene, then later handed herself in to police.

The 21-year-old Cobram woman has been charged with dangerous driving causing serious injury and recklessly causing serious injury.

She's been bailed to appear at Shepparton Magistrates' Court on Friday, 6 January.
