Police charge woman after East Wangaratta fatal collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a woman following a fatal collision in East Wangaratta last October.

The 21-year-old Wodonga woman has been charged with dangerous driving causing death, fail to give way and careless driving.

Emergency services were called to a two-car collision on Great Alpine Road about 5.05pm on 29 October, 2021.

The driver of one of the vehicles, a 48-year-old Narre Warren South man, died at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, a then 20-year-old Wodonga woman, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

She will appear at Wangaratta Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
