Police charge woman after Glen Huntly fatal collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a woman following a fatal collision in Glen Huntly on 8 January 2020.

It is alleged two vehicles collided at the intersection of Neerim Road and Grange Road about 1pm.

The passenger of one vehicle, a 78-year-old Murrumbeena woman, was transported to hospital where she later died on 17 January.

The driver, an 81-year-old Murrumbeena man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the second car, a 23-year-old St Albans woman, has today been charged with dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing serious injury.

She was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 2 July.
