Police charge woman after one bitten, another stabbed - Gregory Hills

A woman is due to appear in court tomorrow after a person was allegedly bitten on the face and another stabbed in Sydney's south-west overnight.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command have been told concerns were held for a woman after witnesses reported yelling from inside a home on Farm Cove Street, Gregory Hills, about 9.30pm (Saturday 6 February 2021).

Police allege two women were attacked when they went to check on the resident's welfare, with one woman bitten on the face and a second suffering cuts to her forearm, hand and torso.

Emergency services were contacted, and NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the injured women.

A perimeter was established with negotiators and Tactical Operation Unit (TOU) officers brought to the scene to assist.

About 12.30am (Sunday 7 February 2021), a 24-year-old woman was arrested at the home by the TOU and was taken to Campbelltown Hospital for assessment.

She was released into police custody about 10.15am and was taken to Narellan Police Station where she was charged with reckless wounding, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and assault police.

She has been refused bail to will appear via AVL at Picton Local Court tomorrow (Monday 8 February 2021).
