Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad have charged a second person following a police shooting in Mulgrave earlier this month.
A 28-year-old Noble Park woman was released from hospital today and subsequently interviewed by police.
She has been charged with aggravated carjacking, theft of motor vehicle, attempted armed robbery, common law assault, shop theft, reckless conduct endangering life/serious injury, non-prohibited person possess imitation firearm, and will face Melbourne Magistrates bail and remand court tonight .
The charges follow an alleged evade and the subsequent intercept of a vehicle on Police Road on 4 April.
The 28-year-old woman, who was in the car and was allegedly armed with a firearm, was shot by police after a confrontation occurred.
She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 27-year-old Noble Park man was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with 21 offences, including reckless conduct endangering life, prohibited person possess firearm, aggravated carjacking, robbery and theft of motor vehicle.
He was remanded to appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 4 June.
The investigation into the incident is being oversighted by Professional Standards Command, as is standard practice when a police firearm is discharged.
