Police Charge Woman After Stabbing Near Nowra

A woman will face court today charged over an alleged stabbing on the South Coast.

About 2am yesterday (Wednesday 22 October 2025), emergency services were called to Rayleigh Drive, Worrigee, following reports of a stabbing.

NSW Ambulance responded and treated a 41-year-old man for stab wounds to his upper thigh. He was taken to Wollongong Hospital, with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District responded and established a crime scene.

Officers spoke to a 33-year-old woman - known to the man - who was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital for treatment, unrelated to the incident.

About 1.05pm yesterday, the woman was released from Shoalhaven Hospital and arrested. She was taken to Nowra Police Station and charged with Reckless Wounding (DV).

She was refused bail to appear in Bail Division Court 3 today (Thursday 23 October 2025).
