Police charge woman over Depot Hill assault at Rockhampton

Detectives from Rockhampton CIB have arrested a 42-year-old local woman after a man's arm was allegedly slashed with a knife.

Police were called to Arthur Street, Depot Hill around 10pm last night (March 8) following a disturbance between a man and woman, who are known to each other.

During the disturbance the man allegedly sustained a laceration to his forearm and the woman a minor injury to her head.

The man retreated inside a dwelling and police were called.

The 28-year-old man sustained a deep laceration to his arm and was transported to Rockhampton Base Hospital for treatment.

The woman, who was arrested by police at the scene, was also transported to hospital for treatment before being transported to the watch house.

She has been denied police bail and is due to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court this morning charged with assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed.
