Police charge woman over drug supply at Queanbeyan

A woman has been charged over the alleged supply of illicit drugs in the state's Monaro region.

About 9am yesterday (Wednesday 6 April 2022), officers attached to Monaro Region Enforcement Squad and South East Region Enforcement Squad executed a search warrant at a home on Aurora Avenue, Queanbeyan.

During a search of the property, police seized a small quantity of methylamphetamine, more than 440g of cannabis, almost $600 cash, Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang clothing, restricted substances and items consistent with drug supply.

Officers also seized ammunition and an ammunition press, as well as electronic devices. All items seized will undergo forensic examination.

A 31-year-old woman was located in a bedroom and was arrested. She was taken to Queanbeyan Police Station where she was charged with nine offences including:

  • Supply prohibited drug (x2),
  • Possess prohibited drug (x2),
  • Recklessly deal with proceeds of crime
  • Possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority
  • Possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance (x2), and,
  • Owner/occupier knowingly allow use as drug premises

The Queanbeyan woman was granted conditional bail to appear in Queanbeyan Local Court on Monday 16 May 2022.
