Police charge woman over stabbing murder - Condell Park

A woman will appear in court today charged following investigations into a fatal stabbing in Sydney's south west earlier this month.

Emergency services were called to a unit on William Street, Condell Park, about 2.45am on Saturday 7 December 2019, after reports a 29-year-old man had been stabbed multiple times.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however, he died at the scene.

A 59-year-old woman was also treated for minor injuries.

Detectives from the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad and Bankstown Police Area Command commenced an investigation under Strike Force Chevalier.

As a result of inquiries, detectives from the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad took carriage of the investigation.

Strike force detectives charged three men – aged 27, 29 and 35 – last Monday (9 December 2019). They remain before the courts.

Following further investigations, detectives arrested a 44-year-old woman at a home on William Street, Rockdale, about 9.30am yesterday (Tuesday 17 December 2019).

She was taken to St George Police Station and charged with murder and accessory before the fact to assault with intent to rob armed offensive weapon wound.

Police will allege in court that the woman was involved in the planning of the home invasion at Condell Park.

She was refused bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court today (Wednesday 18 December 2019).

Investigations are continuing.
